Years and I mean 10+ years of black box dye finally caught up to me a few months ago when I decided I wanted to change my locks from black to ash blonde.

At the time, using box hair dye from the drugstore seemed like the perfect easy root touch up! What could be better? Well it turns out I should have been thinking “what could be worse”. My hair transformation started in late November of 2016 when I decided I wanted a fresh start in life and as the saying goes ” A woman who cuts her hair is ready to change her life” I wanted a complete change and decided to go blonde! Well, after a few hair dressers (until I found the perfect one!) and more than 5 visits and my hair is finally starting to look like the dream hair I was looking for! The process was long, and sometimes frustrating when my difficult hair would not lighten, and I had this pesky box dye band in the center of my hair from where my hair had started to grow out and from what had been previously bleached for an ombre look. Let’s just say it wasn’t a good look.  I have been dreaming of ashy blonde locks for what has felt like forever and never truly feeling satisfied each time I left the salon. That was until I stumbled across an Instagram page that screamed HAIR GOALS! Rebecca is nothing if not a hair magician. I went in needing a major color correction from my previous attempts to lighten the box dye that seemed to be permanently locked into my stands and hoping to get a beautiful color as well and I am so happy with the results!
