My Afternoon at Drift Day Spa: Review

Drift Day Spa is Thunder Bay’s newest day spa. The spa is similar to other local Salon and Day Spa’s in the city however, the benefit  of no salon is a much more relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. The newly refurbished location offer’s a somewhat industrial feel mixed with a polished and classic look that you simply cannot find anywhere else. It gives you the same experience of a resort without actually having to pay the expenses to travel to one!

My visit began with being greeted by the warmest smiles from Drift’s lovely ladies and a tour of the new spa. The spa offers an assembly of Morgan Taylor polish colors directly up at the front of the spa for your convenience, a manicure station where you can choose from their 7 different manicure types, four pedicure stations all with their own message chairs so you can drift(pun intended) into a blissfully relaxed state while enjoying one of their many pedicures offered including a spa pedicure and a paraffin pedicure, as well as two service rooms where they offer an array of services from  facials and tinting all the way to the more lavish services including eyelashes extensions and the ever popular microblading. My service of choice for this afternoon was a pedicure with one of Drift’s lovelies Meagan. We began by choosing a color and decided on ‘Sweater Weather’ by Morgan Taylor professional nail lacquer. I was then welcomed into the room by the welcoming smell of seasonal peppermint coming from pedicure station, perfect for this snowy December weather! I was brought the most delicious coffee and handed a remote to my very own masseuse for the afternoon!  Between the smell of pepperminty Christmas floating around the room, the company of the loveliest lady and the best foot massage I’ve ever had it was safe to say I never wanted to leave.

On my way out I was given flip flops for the drive as to not ruin my new toes, my file and buffer, and the entire bottle of the nail polish I had used to take home with me! My nails turned out beautifully and I basically just want to live there. Since living isn’t part of the spa’s package deal I eventually had to leave however!! as an unrelated and totally awesome bonus the spa happens to be directly beside Frankie’s Pizzeria! So before heading home I stumbled into the pizzeria in my snazzy disposable flip flops in the snow and enjoyed what is my personal favorite pizza in the city.

5/5 !! 10/10!! 20/20? Okay, I’ll stop.

Down below is a list of everything the spa has to offer! and for more info you can find them on Facebook by searching Drift Day Spa or visit their Instagram here 🙂  You can also call them for any Holiday Packages they have going on at 1(807)768-5000img_6556
